The role:
This role involves travelling between customer’s homes and assisting them with daily living and lifestyle requirements by providing person-centred care and support.
Duties and responsibilities may include:
1. Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
2. Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
3. Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
4. Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment including: standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids and other physical aids
5. Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
6. Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
7. Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required
8. Availability to work two overnight shifts per week if required
What you will need:
9. Minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services (Highly Desirable)
10. Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
11. Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check
12. Current and satisfactory Federal Police Check, Yellow Card & Blue Card
13. Current Australian Driver’s Licence
14. Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is preferred)
15. Smartphone with internet access
16. Covid 19 Vaccination Certificate
