JB Contracting is a rapidly growing contractor to the Mining and Civil Earthworks Industry across the goldfields of WA and the Pilbara. 2024-25 shapes to be a big year with multiple new contracts coming online. JB is growing and we are looking for strong people leaders to come on the journey. We mean it when we say no 2 days are a like so you need to be a switched on, problem solver with the ablility to pivot at anytime to get the job done for our clients, even if that means jumping in a machine!Initially these will be field based roles and hands on, operating equipment as required. As the business grows these will transition to more traditonal superviosr roles focusing on safety, people, compliance, utilsitation and our clients. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for overseeing and managing the site crew and sub-contractors on construction projects.Manage the compliance dashboard in conjunction with operations management.Prepare prompt quotations including labour, materials, freight and machinery ensuring that lead times are always considered and clients are communicated with correct timeframes.Supervise, prepare and organise onsite activities.Allocate labour appropriately and assist with rostering.Work closely with team to ensure all works are scheduled and allocated on the company schedule.Management of all site health and safety requirements including JHA's, permits to work, isolations, risk assessments and key safety requirement to ensure the highest quality work and safety is adhered to at all times.Carry out regular routine site inspections to identify and rectify risks.Identify, report and record and non-conformances, incidences or near misses as required.Candidates will preferably have relevant plant tickets/licences to support ensuring competency of crews.The successful candidate(s) will be well organised self starters with strong interpersonal communication skills and an aptitude to learn. You will need to demonstrate a "can do" attitude and be a team player, with flexibility to move from task or job, as the business requires. Highly motivatedRights to work in Australia.National Police Clearance (mandatory)Able to pass Drug and Alcohol tests on an ongoing basis.Minimum HR drivers licence (MC preferred)Mechanical aptitude to perform minor servicing and mechanical fault finding.
