Job Description We are currently in search of an experienced Head of People & Culture to join the Dymocks Retail Leadership Team. The role will oversee the People & Culture Function for Dymocks Retail, and some Dymocks Group entities. A pivotal role in the Leadership Team, the role will oversee all strategic and transactional areas of the People & Culture function and reports to the CEO. Key Responsibilities Assist leaders across the business with their recruitment and talent needs Implement learning and development initiatives across the business Oversee, WHS Policies, procedures and processes to drive continuous improvement and compliance in the area of WHS Support the CEO and Leadership team with optimal organisational strategy and structure Provide coaching, guidance and support on matters relating to employee relations and best practice HR Implement and maintain Group policies and procedures and tailor them to the Retail business Support managers with employee development and performance management Provide support to the Franchise network of stores, providing advice and guidance on employee relations matters Undertake Pay & Conditions Audits across the retail network Implement employee engagement initiatives, continually evolve EVP Desired Skills and Experience What You Will Bring Tertiary qualifications in HR Related field Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar role within a People & Culture Team Previous Retail and Franchising experience preferred Sound understanding of HR practice in Australia (Good understanding of Fairwork and Award interpretation) Positive attitude and approach Excellent communication skills A solid foundation in Australian employment law including the modern award system and the interpretation and application of pay and conditions from those awards as well as privacy, diversity, equity and discrimination laws High level of numeracy skills Direct and indirect team management experience High EQ and ability to quickly connect with people and build strong relationships When applying for the role please include a cover letter addressing the key responsibilities and skills required.
