We have a new role for a Project Control Director to help our Infrastructure and Defence projects in Adelaide, who can lead the teams across the full lifecycle of the project through excellent interface management and stakeholder management.

Job Description

We work on projects of all sizes, from one-off developments to mega-programmes, from planning the future development of international airports to site-based construction of individual buildings, or the largest Water and Utilities infrastructure projects in the country. We cover everything from leading teams, planning works, tracking progress, and business case delivery to bringing assets into use.
The main purpose of the Project Control Director is to optimise project success by delivering against agreed program objectives. Some of the key specifications we attribute to the purpose include:
1. Coordinate and lead a team of project control professionals.
2. Planning, monitoring, and controlling of project performance.
3. Develop and manage project control systems, including scheduling, risk and cost control (knowledge of Primavera P6 and cost control systems).
4. Carry out risk management strategies to mitigate potential project issues.
5. Provide accurate information to support data-driven decision-making.
6. Ensure consistent collection, analysis, and reporting of project data with knowledge of tools like Power BI.
7. Track project progress and identify potential delays or cost overruns.
8. Implement best practices and standards for project controls.
9. Report complex project data effectively to stakeholders.
10. Relationships – Stakeholder management.
Qualifications
1. Must be an Australian Citizen and able to work in Adelaide.
2. 10+ years of experience with a minimum of 5+ years working in a Project Controls role.
3. Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
4. Strong knowledge of Cost Control and Project Controls.
5. Experience working in the infrastructure (marine, shipyards, civil) and the Defence sector.
6. Experience of managing multiple concurrent projects at various stages of delivery.
7. Experience operating at various stages in the project lifecycle.
8. Strong stakeholder management skills including coordination and communication.
9. Self-motivated team player with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
