Details: The Technical Specialist, Web and Applications will undertake day to day operational support of assigned systems and infrastructure used and supported by the ACT Health Directorate and will work in the Technical Services Hub to support a large number of critical health applications.
The position will: Install and maintain Microsoft servers including web and printing services.Work within a team to support web application and deploy a large number of clinical applications within the Health Protected Enclave using deployment technologies including Citrix technologies.Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, including through developing and maintaining scripts to improve system management tasks.Assist in the configuration and troubleshooting of integration third party software and peripherals.Liaise with service providers and all relevant stakeholders in relation to system support, maintenance and enhancements.Engage with Project Teams to deliver assigned work packages, or provide technical input.Undertake investigation, research and audit activities relating to assigned ICT tasks.Develop and maintain relevant technical documentation and corporate policies.Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification that contribute to the division of the ACTHD.Highly desirable: Experience in Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems.Experience with hardware or software load balancing solutions.Certification and experience in application deployment platforms such as Citrix and/or Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager.Working knowledge of Internet Information Services (IIS) administration.Working knowledge of network protocols and functionality including TCP/IP, Active Directory, Domain Name Services, FTP/SCP, and HTTP/S.Eligibility/Other Requirements: We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community.
