About the role
Our global full-service intellectual property (IP) practice offers a one-of-a-kind solution for clients, providing IP services in Australia and the Pacific region, Asia, Europe, and North America.
We are currently seeking a lawyer with 3-5 years PQE to join our Melbourne IP team.
This dynamic, collaborative and busy practice will give you the opportunity to get involved with interesting matters across all aspects of Intellectual Property. Working with leading IP practitioners Jonathan Feder, Tony Watson, Chris Round, Greg Pieris and Sally Foreman, you will assist Australian and international clients in advising and prosecuting intellectual property rights as well as litigating matters involving trademarks, designs, patents, copyright and trade secrets. You will also have access to, and work regularly with, intellectual property lawyers in our overseas offices.
In this role, you will act for a range of clients and be encouraged to take carriage of day-to-day matters. You will also be encouraged to prepare articles and case summaries for presentations and publications, as well as be involved in firm activities and committees, including business development, mentoring, delivering training, and presenting to clients and professional organisations.

You should be practical, proactive and commercially minded in your approach, in addition to demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and exemplary attention to detail.
You will ideally have 3-5 years' experience working as an Intellectual Property lawyer. You will be collaborative in your approach whilst also demonstrating the ability to work autonomously and take a lead role in matters.
You will be an excellent communicator with a strong desire to learn and get involved across all aspects of the practice.
