Length of contract: 12 months Contract extensions: 2x 12 months Security clearance: Must have Negative Vetting Level 1 Rates: $110 - $140 per hour (inc. super) Role Overview: Services Australia is seeking a Solution Designer to support the configuration of new functional solutions and provide ongoing support for ICT solutions. The Solution Designer will assist in the design and optimisation of enterprise-wide deployment of ICT technology solutions, requiring an understanding of ICT product offerings and their integration with other components, as well as a high-level understanding of interface technology. The Solution Designer will work under the general direction and support of senior staff, exercising independent judgement and making decisions within defined parameters. They will be responsible for planning their own work and contributing to team goals amidst competing priorities and changes in workplace practices. Key Duties: Assist with analysis and evaluation of business processes and requirements, proposing solution specifications for projects. Conduct technical/application assessments, considering feasibility, effort, and risk. Support the creation of conceptual and logical business solution design (i.e., blueprint, solution design documents) and assist with implementing solutions to meet business requirements. Undertake project quality management tasks, including peer and quality reviews of specifications and design documents. Participate in project reviews and assist in creating action plans for ICT applications configuration and development. Conduct testing and support the deployment of technology solutions. Provide support for daily operations and monitor performance of business solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective and timely implementation of projects. Prepare correspondence such as reports and technical documentation for senior staff review. Contribute to the development and implementation of improvements and best practices in processes and procedures. Allocate work to team members, matching issue complexity with staff capability. Adhere to delivery and support methodologies, contributing ideas for improvement. Assist with cost analysis activities as needed. Escalate issues as required and suggest alternative approaches. Exercise delegations in accordance with legislation and guidelines. Essential Criteria: Minimum 2 years experience working as a system analyst or technical business analyst on complex ICT system builds. Desirable Criteria: Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional technology solutions for development, testing, and implementation. Strong technical analytical skills to contribute to the implementation of system solutions. Solid working knowledge of SDLC, development processes, and agile methodologies. Understanding of ICT product offerings and their interoperability with other components. Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and solve problems. #J-18808-Ljbffr
