About Shade Skin Cancer MedicineShade Skin Cancer Medicine, led by Dr Emily Alfonsi, is a new WA Skin Cancer clinic that will set the standard in skin cancer medicine and patient experience in a contemporary clinical setting.We're currently seeking an experienced part-time Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to join our skin cancer practice. In this position, you'll provide assistance to the medical practitioners of the clinic and a high level of aftercare to the patients. Key Responsibilities: Assist with excisions and medical procedures.Perform suture removals and provide wound care.Handle sterilisation and ensure infection control.Educate patients on aftercare and other medical needs.Maintain stock control of medical supplies.Recall patients for results and perform audits of results, recalls and surgical outcomes.Perform Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) treatments in liaison with medical staff.About You: We are looking for a positive, caring and enthusiastic candidate with at least one years previous nurse experience, preferably in a Skin Cancer clinic or General Practice setting.Essential qualities: Registered with AHPRAExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a teamProfessionally presentedAn energetic and enthusiastic can-do attitudeExperience:Experience in a medical setting is essentialExperience in a skin cancer, plastic surgery or dermatology clinical setting is highly regardedExperience using Best Practice software ideal but not a mustWhy Work With Us?
