This company is a well-established Boutique Investment, Development & Project Management group with demonstrated experience in delivering projects across all asset classes including Urban Renewal, Master planned Mixed use Precincts, Mixed Use Apartments and more.
This company requires a new Project/Development Manager who can demonstrate an understanding of Residential Apartments, Mixed Use Precincts or Mixed-Use Apartment Asset classes. The ability to work well under pressure, manage your own workload and manage multiple tasks at one time. Have exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. this person will need to be a self-starter, proactive with a positive outlook.
About the role
The purpose of this role is to manage all delivery aspects of assigned projects at all stages and ensure their timely completion, within budget constraints and in accordance with design guidelines and operational requirements to maximise revenue and minimise losses. This will be a mix of contract management and overall stakeholder/relationships management specifically with JV partners, consultants, and builders.
The projects include build to rent, student accommodation, commercial office, and a large scale mixed-use residential precinct.
Key responsibilities for the Project/Development Manager role will mainly include taking a leading role in:
* Management of project feasibilities
* Consulting with relevant authorities to achieve planning approvals.
* Appointment and management of various consultant teams.
* Managing the close out of design and construction issues.
* Reviewing submitted EOTs, request further information, developing opinions and summarise to senior management.
* Reviewing, processing, and seeking approval for invoices and costs.
* Managing variation registers and trackers.
* Chairing PCG meetings
* Managing purchaser change processes including ensuring registers are up to date and new requests are incorporated into the works. Coordinating activities for purchaser inspections and settlements.
Skills and experience
Ideally the candidate will have a strong delivery focused background preferably with in depth knowledge of construction (client side), contracts, and the overall delivery process. An understanding of the earlier stage development processes is also preferred as the Project/Development Manager will be exposed to and will ultimately manage earlier stages of projects. Mid to large scale built-form, mixed use project experience is ideal.
