About the role
Mater Health Services is seeking applications for an enthusiastic and experienced Enrolled Nurse to join the friendly and professional team within the Neurosciences Unit at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane. The position will be offered in a permanent part time capacity, 32 hours per week.
The Neurosciences Unit has 42 beds and provides exceptional care to neurology, neurosurgery and spinal surgery patients. As a highly valued member of the team you will be part of a group of professionals, who take pride in providing the highest levels of patient care. The team is supportive, approachable and patient focused and provides excellent training and development opportunities.
Salary range: $35.88 - $38.21 (Enrolled Nurse) per hour plus superannuation & salary packaging
What you’ll be doing
Whilst displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
1. Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
2. Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
3. Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
4. Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
5. Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth

Other skills and experience include:
6. Current AHPRA nursing registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
7. Experience as a Enrolled Nurse in Neuroscience or another similar field
8. Ability to work in an ever-changing and fast paced environment
9. A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the Mater values
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
11. Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision-making skills
12. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
13. Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is always delivered to patients at all times
