Hours: This is a full-time position (1.0FTE) Location: Head to Health, Elizabeth About the Role: The Senior Peer Practitioner will work as part of the Head to Health Immediate Access and Short-Term Care programs based at Gillingham Road, Elizabeth. This service provides mental health support to people in the northern region of Adelaide 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including public holidays. The Senior Peer Practitioner will utilize their personal experience of mental health challenges and distress to engage with guests of Northern Head to Health and their families, carers, and supporters of choice. The Senior Peer Practitioner will draw from a strengths-based recovery-oriented service of care and act as a role model towards recovery for people experiencing mental health challenges and distress, including in times of crisis. The Senior Peer Practitioner will also support staff and leadership to deliver services in line with best practice guidelines and the Co-Created Philosophy of Care, and will provide Lived Experience supervision to Peer Practitioners as required. Experience Requirements: Minimum two years' experience working in a Peer Practitioner position Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment. Has experienced mental health challenges and distress and has demonstrable experience of recovery. Has previous work experience in administrative roles and has had experience with using databases and computer systems. Qualification and Other Requirements: Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC) Knowledge and experience in using the Microsoft suite of software and databases. Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or currently completing or a willingness to complete within the next 12 months Completion of Peer Supervision training through the Lived Experience Workforce Program will be highly regarded.
