The EmployerOur clients are a family-run broadacre cropping and livestock operation spanning approximately 5,000 hectares.
The farm is located in the Victorian Southern Mallee Region, just 25 kilometres north of Birchip with recent investments having been made in their modern Case machinery and infrastructure.
They work hard and are passionate about running an efficient and timely operation that is both productive and sustainable.
Cropping a variety of cereals, legumes and oilseeds such as wheat, barley, lentils, canola, and vetch, they also have a livestock program focusing on prime lamb production and trading.
The RoleOur clients are seeking a dedicated farmhand to join their team.
In this role, you will operate a variety of large machinery, including trucks, sprayers, headers, and tractors, while prioritising safety and efficiency.
Previous spraying experience will be highly advantageous, as you will play a crucial part in the annual spraying program, dependent on your existing skills.
Transporting grain is another essential responsibility, as you intermittently assist with delivering it to local receival sites, ensuring that the process is both timely and accurate.
Moreover, you will contribute to the livestock management program by yarding, weighing, and safely trucking animals.
To ensure the smooth operation of the farm, you will also perform general repairs and maintenance on both machinery and infrastructure.
This position requires a positive attitude, keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with others in a fast-paced farming environment.
The OfferThe successful candidate will receive competitive remuneration based on their experience.
A work vehicle will be provided for work-related use and a four-bedroom home.

The Ideal CandidateIdeally, you will have experience operating machinery, but a keen desire and enthusiasm to learn and upskill will be looked upon favourably, along with the following skills and attributes:
Maintain an efficient and timely work ethic, demonstrating a willingness to work to a high standard.
Work effectively and independently when needed while also contributing to a team environment.
Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
A willingness to adhere to WHS procedures.
HC/MC license would be desirable.
