About the School:
Cleveland Education and Training Centre (CETC) is a Department of Education school located within the Cleveland Youth Detention Centre in Townsville. The Centre serves young people incarcerated by the court system, aged between 10 and 18 years old.
CETC operates as a service provider within the Detention Centre, requiring staff to adhere to safety and security protocols. The Centre delivers education programs for 48 weeks of the year, with staff operating on a roster that falls outside mainstream school holiday periods. All staff must be willing to work during school holidays.
About the Role:
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing support in various subject areas, such as junior school, hospitality, library, industrial design, HPE, art, textiles, music, literacy, and numeracy.
* Assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.
