We are on a mission to continue driving the development and sustainability of our regions by bringing the strongest leadership, innovation and sustainable practices from complementary industries together in a scalable solution.Description:RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTEnsure workforce fully understand and comply with the RAMS & Clients' QHSE requirements and relevant policies.Be proactive in identifying hazards, developing safety procedures, and encouraging continuous improvement in relation to HSE.Ensure that all work is performed by and supervised by holders of work licence appropriate to the work.Assist in identifying hazards, advising on safety procedures, and monitoring work practices to ensure adherence to correct procedures and standards for safety and environmental performance.Support the Kolsen Group corporate quality, safety, health, and environmental management systems by:Reporting to your Manager or QHSE Manager any situation that could result in harm to a person, the environment or may adversely affect the services we provide our customers.Reporting to your Manager or QHSE Manager any opportunities that you believe would improve the quality of service we provide our customers or could reduce the potential for harm to people or the environment.Understanding and supporting the annual QHSE objectives.To immediately pause or make safe any work condition or activity that could result in immediate harm and immediately notify either by phone or in person the responsible line manager and the QHSE adviser or Director.Leading and promoting the implementation of the integrated management systems for Quality, Safety, Health and the Environment.Ensure apprentices perform works only as per Division 3A of the “Electrical Workers And Contractors Act 1978”.Operational PerformanceExecute work in the field.Provide landscaping and facilities improvement ideas.Liaise with Business Services to execute and track status of work outside of SAP.Ensure components are available prior to works commencing.Ensure RA’s completed at least 3 days prior to works commencing.Ensure Permits are Set for Execution day before they are required.Ensure Workgroups are aware of the days tasks.Ensure Workgroups execute against the days tasks.Ensure Workgroups close out WO’s.Ensure Workorders are rescheduled as required.Ensure toolbox talks and step back 5x5’s are completed.Liaise with Tech Officers and Scheduler to bring work forward as required.QualityOperate equipment and machinery in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and the Kolsen operating procedures.OtherUndertake other tasks to support the project or business operations as required. Adhere to the Direction, Competence, Opportunity, and Motivation (D-COM) principles.Skills and Experiences:SELECTION CRITERIA:ESSENTIALS:Proven ability to carry out the tasks outlined in the key responsibilities.Ability to communicate.Class C Driver’s Licence (manual).Ability to work without supervision and as a team member.Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.A positive NT Police Security Check Report.Construction White Card.DESIRABLE:Completed a Parks and Gardens Certificate III, a Landscaping Certificate III, a Greenkeeping Certificate III or equivalent; orNot less than three years’ experience in practical horticulture and possesses the skills, knowledge and experience to perform work within the scope of this level.Certificate II or equivalent in building & construction.First Aid Certificate.
