This position is based at Maryborough Depot and covers the Region from Gympie to Gladstone, therefore some travel and weekend work may be required at times to meet the business needs. The roster will encompass a 9 day fortnight.

About this role:
Reporting into the Team Leader Network Support you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications cables and cabling equipment and report on the performance and condition of the network asset to ensure its safe and effective operation.
About you:
7. Perform jointing and termination activities for low voltage cables used in railway Signalling and Telecommunications systems.
8. Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and safety of power cables.
9. Collaborate with a team of railway professionals to carry out projects efficiently and effectively.
10. Strictly adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
To be considered for this role you must have:
11. Previous experience in power cable jointing
12. Cert III in Telecomms
13. National Australian Drivers Licence
14. ACMA Open Cabler Registration
15. Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures
16. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
17. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
