Our mission is to provide the highest standard of care and make a real difference in the communities we serve.About the RoleA LifeFlight Jet Air Ambulance Flight Nurse provides expert nursing care for critically ill or injured patients as part of a Flight Medical Officer/Flight Nurse retrieval team, primarily during Jet Air Ambulance international retrievals and Aeromedical retrievals across Queensland.The team: Join our Townsville team on a part-time basis (0.50 FTE) to deliver life-saving medical services on high-speed air evacuations, ensuring patients receive top-tier emergency care during transport. You would be required to commit to an on-call roster for seven days, 24 hours per day, in a four-week period.Work in a Dynamic, High-Pressure Environment: You will ensure provision of the highest standard of clinical retrieval services on a 24/7/52 basis in collaboration with a team of highly skilled Doctors, Paramedics and Pilots to stabilise and monitor patients during air travel.Cutting-Edge Equipment & Advanced Training: Gain experience using state-of-the-art medical equipment in an air ambulance setting, with opportunities for ongoing professional development and specialised training in aeromedical care.Induction training: You will need to be available to join us on 26 of January 2025 for a four (4) day mandatory clinical induction training program, held at the state-of-the-art LifeFlight Training Academy (LTA). The roster would commence from 3 February 2025.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need over 5 years of nursing experience in emergency medicine or critical care, a relevant post-graduate qualification, and certifications in Advanced Life Support (ALS), Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and NeoResus.
