About the Role
Congress is seeking a Governance Support Officer to provide high-level coordination and support to the Congress and Remote Health Boards, ensuring effective governance and management under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006.
The ideal candidate will lead secretariat functions, coordinate meetings, provide administrative support, manage travel requirements, and ensure timely administration of the Board calendar.
This role works closely with the Legal and Governance Manager/Company Secretary to support governance requirements. Congress provides primary health care services to Aboriginal people in Alice Springs and nearby remote communities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead secretariat functions, coordinating meetings for remote advisory boards and providing high-level administrative support
* Coordinate governance-related travel requirements and expense claims
* Ensure timely administration of the Board calendar and diary management
* Liaise with applicants for proof of Aboriginality applications
* Track data and attendance for corporate plan reporting
* Maintain the membership register in line with CATSI Act requirements
Requirements
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook
* Familiarity with the CATSI Act and governance requirements

Salary
$102,472 - $122,635 p.a., Total Effective Package: $126,048- $150,619 p.a.
