This position will be based on various sites in Southeast and Central Queensland and reports to the Project Lead.
The Cost Controller is responsible for providing timely cost expertise by monitoring, analysing and reporting on project progress and costs.
This position will support our Operations team in the Services division, with the focus on power station outages.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Provide strong focus on cost trending and forecastingEstablish and monitor project baseline budgetsProduce regular cost reports and at times present to the client outage leadership teamMaintain time sheeting system and implement changes to scopeMonitor and report on cost actuals vs budgetLiaison with financial team for compiling and submitting client progress claimsStrictly adhere to both UGL and client's safety and environmental systems and standardsAbout You:Tertiary qualifications in business, commercial, engineering, finance or similar preferredMinimum 2 years practical experience in a similar role or proven capability using Excel/SAPDemonstrated experience with cost management tools (Excel, SAP, Power BI, SharePoint)Highly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skillsStrong conflict resolution skills coupled with the ability to work independently, prioritise demands, and learn quicklyProficient skills across the MS Suite and other programs for cost reportingWhat we offer:A chance to join a 6,000+ strong organisation owned by the CIMIC Group, one of the world's leading international contractorsBe part of an exceptional team working on power station outagesCompetitive remuneration packageWhat makes you right for UGL:You have a can-do attitudeYou want to be part of a high performing teamYou believe success and value are driven by real teams where everyone has a role to playAbout Us:UGL Pty Limited is a leading provider of end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services.
