Job Title: Reporter
You will report in the field for Sky News and cover a wide variety of stories including news, sport and weather across Hobart and Tasmania.
Main Responsibilities:
* Report live and write news packages.
* Attend news conferences, conduct interviews and gather information on a wide range of issues.
* Work closely with the Sky team and liaise with senior editorial staff to decide upon news coverage.
* Build and maintain a network of contacts to enable you to break stories.
* Capacity to shoot, write, edit and present news stories from start to finish, on a daily basis.
* File for digital platforms.
* Pitch original news stories and ideas.
Requirements:
* Good writing skills and news judgment with experience in live and breaking news.
* Excellent time management skills, ability to multitask and work to strict deadlines.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently.
* Ability to write engaging, accurate and crisp copy quickly, and under pressure.
