In this position, you will provide comprehensive layout design services for both internal and external projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.Your responsibilities will include performing detailed PLS_Cadd design services and analyses for transmission line projects, delivering optimal and cost-efficient designs while supporting project phases from concept to commissioning. You will also offer technical advice, conduct engineering surveys using advanced equipment like Lidar and GPS systems, and manage external contractors to uphold design quality standards.As the primary point of contact for design scoping, budgeting, and service delivery timing, you will ensure that our layout designs are not only on time and within budget but also provide value for money. A strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying risks will be essential in enhancing our safety performance.What you'll bring:To be successful in this role, you will need an Associate Diploma in Survey, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, along with significant experience in transmission line layout design and PLS_Cadd. Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting software, knowledge of overhead line design principles, and expertise in project scoping and estimating are key requirements.We value strong computer literacy and familiarity with Australian Standards applicable to transmission line design.
