The Opportunity
This is an excellent role for a recent HR graduate or a soon-to-be graduate ready to launch their career.
You'll be working with a supportive team in local government and will have a chance to contribute meaningfully to HR operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
Monitoring the HR inbox and managing inquiries or escalating as necessary.
Providing basic HR advice to staff and leadership.
Ensuring HR documentation complies with legal, confidentiality, and compliance standards.
Supporting workforce planning efforts alongside the HR team.
About You
Current QLD Class C Driver's License.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle complex situations with empathy and discretion.
Demonstrated experience (including internships or projects) in policy development and quality improvement initiatives.
A proactive, customer-focused approach with the ability to influence and negotiate effective outcomes.
