Your new role This position entails comprehensive project management and contract management throughout the construction process. Key responsibilities include analysing and understanding commercial conditions, interpreting Australian Standard Contracts (AS4000 and AS2124), and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. Primary Responsibilities: Project Management: Oversee all aspects of project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Contract Management: Proficient in contract administration, risk management, and project documentation. Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of legislation, rules, regulations, and standards related to building sites (e.g., industrial relations, WHS and Environmental, Workcover, local government). Project Programming: Familiarity with project deliverables and schedules, and the ability to coordinate tasks across various building trades. Communication and Negotiation: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and influence the Project Team. Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple activities and groups to achieve maximum efficiency. Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Projects. Experience with Procore, Aconex, or similar platforms is highly desirable. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills. Financial Acumen: Knowledge of financial and job cost accounting principles. Additional Requirements: The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. What you'll need to succeed Formal qualifications and proven experience within the sector.Experience in Project Management and Contracts Administration of projects, full end-to-end lifecycle of projects.Experience in the management of remedial construction projects (including planning, programming and the management of subcontractors and site labour), multi-residential dwellings or commercial buildings are preferred.Experience in remedial works or faade repairs / cladding replacement will be highly regarded.
