Linfox's Intermodal business unit is currently seeking an Operations Coordinator to join the team located in Townsville QLD. As a part of this role, you will be responsible for coordinating vehicle operations for the pickup and delivery of customer products, booking of containers within the terminal and fleet maintenance in line with the business expectations and offering support to both the operation and administration teams. We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity available working Tuesday to Saturday, starting from 6:00am and finishing at 2:30pm. Key areas: Communicate with drivers to ensure that all work is completed for the day in line with customer expectations and safety/compliance guidelines. Maintain accurate documentation and records related to manifests, delivery schedules and compliance. Maintain regular contact with our customer to keep them updated and well informed about their scheduled deliveries or changes that will impact them. Complete regular yard walks, conduct spot checks on driver tasks including coupling checks, oversee MT Data compliance for tasks such as pre-start checks and fatigue compliance. Track loads end to end including prior to the timeslot, whilst the driver is on site, and confirming that the dispatch or delivery has been completed. Develop and maintain strong lines of open communication with all stakeholders to ensure the intermodal operations can serve the customers effectively. Are you the one? As a tech savvy individual with a high attention to detail and excellent time management, you will have a strong commitment to drive safety and compliance across our business. Your ability to work in an open, collaborative, and inclusive manner will ensure success in this role. You can demonstrate: Previous experience in a similar role within a transport operations environment. Excellent time management and planning skills will be highly regarded. Ability to work autonomously and provide timely, safe and effective advice to drivers on the road. Strong work ethic with a passion for the industry and commitment to continuous improvement. Experience using Excel will be highly regarded. Ability to adapt to changing demands and pressures.
