A great opportunity for an experienced HR Officer to join a leading government department based in Sydney Olympic Park.Purpose of the role:As the first point of contact for a range of People & Cultures clients, the role of a HR Officer is to provide effective and timely administrative support for a range of functions within People & Culture requiring flexibility and adaptability.Key Responsibilities: Taking calls and recording absences in multiple systems. Providing high-level administrative support to the rostering, deployment, and People Hub teams. Data entry into the computerized rostering system, ensuring timely and thorough updates. Processing day-of-shift absences and staffing for day-of-shift vacancies. Communicating effectively with staff at all levels, both in person and over the phone. Key Requirements: Proficient Excel skills. Strong phone etiquette and communication skills. Shift work on a rotating roster. 10-hour shifts, 7 days a week, with 24-hour availability. Demonstrated experience in providing high level administrative support in one or more human resources or related functional areas Demonstrated ability to learn legislative requirements, organisational policy and procedures associated with the management of a contemporary people and culture service area.
