Some unique features of the school are its pastoral care program, inclusiveness of students with disabilities, staff-student relationships, energetic Parents & Friends Association, and community links.We are seeking a Teacher Aide to undertake a range of tasks in supporting the needs of students, under the direction of the teacher, in our Industrial Technology and Design (ITD) workshop classroom.Duties include:General classroom support in the workshopPreparation of resources and clearing learning materialsUsing technology to support learning activitiesAdministrative duties such as photocopying and filingUse and maintain machines and equipment used in the processing of timber, metal, and plastic materialsResponsible for ensuring maintenance of equipment, tools, and machineryMaintain appropriate storage requirements for flammables cupboards/dangerous goodsAssist teachers and students to maintain a safe and clean workshop environmentMaintain adequate stores of pre-cut materials and supplies to ensure minimal disruption to classroom activitiesIdeally you will have:Previous experience as a Teacher Aide and/or hold a Cert 3 in Educational SupportExperience or an interest in manual artsProven communication and interpersonal skillsAn understanding of the work of an ITD Practical classroomA willingness to work as part of a teamAn ability and initiative to apply your skills in supporting students to achieve successful learning outcomesTo be eligible to be considered for this role you will:Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencementBe eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointmentHave a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic EducationContact: Mark MaguireContact number: 5441 5666Contact email: mmaguire@bne.catholic.edu.auClosing date: 24-Nov-2024How to apply:Start your application by clicking the "begin" button.
