The successful candidate will primarily assist with managing negotiations of OTC derivative documentation including ISDA (including complex and facility linked ISDAs), CSA (including VM and IM), GMRA, GMSLA, brokerage agreements and other related markets documentation.Role Type: 6 months opportunity (with possible extension of another 6 months)Role Location: Sydney or SingaporeWhat will your day look like?As a Senior Markets Lawyer, you will provide markets advisory and derivatives documentation services, including markets related documentation review and drafting and other ad hoc legal support for legal and regulatory development for derivatives. You will be responsible for:Managing the entire negotiation process for OTC derivatives documentation including facility-linked ISDA, CSA (both regulatory and non-regulatory CSAs), GMRA, GMSLA, clearing agreements and other related markets documentation. This includes assisting in liaising and obtaining approval from relevant stakeholders including Credit, Central CSA, Markets Operations, collateral management, Tax and Group Treasury.Legal and regulatory/product advice for the Markets business.Complying with relevant ANZ policies, processes and internal standards.Working closely with the Head of Legal, Markets Documentation on any internal projects.Adhering to internal initiatives and processes including proper maintenance of matters in the Markets Counterparty Hub.Maintaining the relevant ISDA/CSA/GMRA templates for counterparties and assisting in keeping the Markets Legal documentation library up to date.Advising on issues such as legal capacity, enforceability of collateral and close-out netting.Participating in internal projects and assisting the Markets business to achieve its strategic objectives.Providing support to other team members of the Markets Legal team.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:Strong facility linked documentation knowledge and experience.General understanding of a bank’s credit process and familiarity with credit approvals.Understanding of corporate authority documentation requirements and account opening process.Strong understanding of OTC derivatives market products and relevant regulatory requirements.You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
