About the Employer:
Our client is a Federal Government agency tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia.
The organisation is seeking multiple APS5 Legal Practice & Capability officers with previous experience in Legal, Policy or Case Management to join their busy team for an initial 6 month temporary assignment with an option to extend for a further 6 months.
About the Role:
* Work within legislative frameworks and policies to ensure adherence to strict timeframes
* Manage email inbox and coordinate responses to moderate to complex enquiries
* Draft case overviews and response documents including complaints, general correspondence and Freedom of Information requests
* Engage extensively with internal and external stakeholders
* Administer tasks for the team including program and activity coordination
* Prepare documents including general correspondence, briefs, policies and strategic documents
* Contribute to process improvement initiatives
About You:
* Must have a high attention to detail
* Strong time management and organisational skills are essential
* Be flexible to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
* Have experience working in either a legal, policy or case management environment
* Previous experience working with legal documents and government policies is required
* Hold intermediate to advanced IT skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
Benefits:
* ASAP start (subject to Federal Police Clearance)
* 6 month temporary assignment with an option to extend by 6 months
* Full-time hours Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day

* $55.24 per hour + superannuation
