In continuous growth mode, Headland has been recently creating unprecedented opportunities through an expansion of portfolio and territories.We offer an extensive training, reward and recognition program which attracts and retains some of the best and brightest minds locally and internationally, while investing heavily in the career development and personalised support of our team.Headland Technology is an equal opportunity employer and a strong advocate who proudly celebrates diversity and inclusion.Primary Purpose:As a Business Development Manager, you’ll have direct responsibility for the success of a select product portfolio across your designated Territory of WA.Your role will be to grow the Headland Business and lead the company to expanded market share in defined, relevant industry sectors, developing new strategic client relationships as well as managing and maximising existing ones.The role involves the full spectrum of transactional and strategic selling methods and the principles of Proactive Target Account Selling.Key Responsibilities:Problem solve with clients to identify technology and machinery solutions of excellent fit.Collaborate with your team and the extended OEM/Partner network to continuously improve market share and brand image.Advise the executives at Headland on strategies and plans which will increase the quality and quantity of opportunities and improve customer intimacy.Provide thought leadership to your team and clients to elevate company-wide performance and reputation in the marketplace.Represent our existing OEMs with high integrity and investigate new product portfolio solutions as the market demands.Display strong interpersonal skills in communication, learning and development, adaptability, and teamwork while sharing learnings and outcomes.Actively contribute to, support, and execute on the strategic plans of the company and your team.The Ideal Candidate:Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or Science (minimum MSc, MEng).Previous experience (minimum 5 years) with demonstrated success in a sales role within the manufacturing industry.Practiced in professional selling techniques; the sales process will be of strong interest to you.Experience in handling commercial negotiations.Technical aptitude and detailed understanding of manufacturing businesses.Knowledgeable in capital equipment investment processes within manufacturing industries.A good listener who can understand and conceptualise technical solutions for industries of the future.Exposure to international manufacturing operations, with a good understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.Strong interpersonal skills; communicates well, a quick learner, a team player, and someone who is adaptable and willing to take and implement feedback.Comfortable working with all levels from executives and business owners to engineering and production staff, building credibility as a trusted advisor with influence.Familiar with and passionate about the success of industrial markets.You are highly organised with exceptional time management skills and a strong attention to detail.What’s in it for you?Join Headland and the Australian manufacturing industry in this exciting growth phase with unlimited potential.Ongoing training, development, and mentoring locally and internationally.Join a supportive outcome-driven team in a family business environment.Career progression and competitive reward and recognition programs for experienced high performers, including accelerators for overachievement.Your application will include the following questions: How many years' experience do you have as a Territory Sales Manager?
