About the Role The digital team within Suncorp Bank are responsible end to end for our strategy, CX, website, digital banking and supporting capabilities. We strive to build personalised, radically simple and compelling digital experiences for our customers to manage their money.
As a Product Owner – Mobile Banking Run within the Suncorp Bank digital team, you will be responsible for the Run squad of the Suncorp Bank App. Your team's mission is to deliver optimisations across personalisation, app features, user experience throughout the app. You'll be working in a high performing, self-organising squad with creative engineers and designers with global ideas and experience.
Whilst this role is not a people manager, it is an influencing role where you will be galvanising the squad and external stakeholders around a vision and supporting them. You will be working with a team based in multiple locations that has a diverse skillset and is focused on bringing to life customer experiences.
Role Location : Brisbane preferred (Melbourne can also be considered)
What will your day look like? As a Product Owner – Mobile App Run, you will : Work with a cross-functional team of designers, CX gurus and reps from insights, contact centre and many other teams to create, own and drive a Run roadmap.Work closely with the Senior Digital Product Manager to align your roadmap with the greater purpose of Suncorp Bank Digital.Help the team align, document and articulate the vision into requirements that our engineering teams can build.Lead cross-squad and / or program deliverables that drive great customer and business outcomes.Test, learn, utilise data and feedback to continually improve design and customer experience.You'll be the customer's biggest fan – You demonstrate a thirst for better understanding the customer and define the problem and develop solutions through their eyes.Comfortable being uncomfortable – You are comfortable with uncertainty and have the ability to effectively manage yourself through ambiguity and change.Continuous improvement junkie – You constructively challenge the status quo, look for better ways to do things and passionately advocate continuous improvement.Identify, document and manage risks, issues and decisions.Delivery and customer focused – be able to trade off, make priority calls and put experiences in the hands of customers that they value.What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following :
Expertise as Product Owner within a digital environment, delivering experience in a native mobile application in a complex technical / risk environment.Originality and energy, you've built a product and experience from scratch – preferably via a native app.Experience in financial services / banking is a plus but retail backgrounds also considered.Champion of Agile | UX | CX, have worked closely with Engineers | Architects| Designers and be a pro on tools such as Jira | Confluence.Comfort and experience in working with scrum-masters, delivery leads and change teams to ensure everyone is comfortable in releasing your beautiful code.Be proactive in working with stakeholders across many teams to build requirements, seek feedback and ensure solutions are aligned to digital metrics.A natural engager and influencer of stakeholders, this role will see you working with internal and external people and services.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
