About the Infrastructure & Commercial Performance team
Infrastructure & Commercial Performance at Western Sydney University drives the strategic planning, development, and maintenance of the University's built infrastructure, properties, and commercial activities. Collaborating with all areas across the University, Infrastructure & Commercial Performance ensures the strategic development and maintenance of the network of campuses and property estate supports learning, teaching, and research activities while preserving and enhancing the unique aesthetics of the campuses. Infrastructure & Commercial Performance also manages the University's sustainability goals in line with the University’s vision and maintains a safe, healthy and welcoming environment for those that use our campuses.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to provide analytical support for the Infrastructure & Commercial Performance team.
The Business Analyst is responsible for the provision of high-level analytical support to the Infrastructure & Commercial Performance team in supporting commercial and development projects and activities.
The position will assist with the preparation, evaluation and documentation of commercial and development projects, initiatives, and activities. The position will assist in developing key analytical documents and support the measurement and monitoring of commercial and development initiatives.
This is a full-time ongoing position based at Western’s Hawkesbury (Richmond) Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. Please review the position description for further information.
Key Responsibilities
The Business Analyst will be required to:
* Conduct business analysis to inform strategic decision-making and identify improvements in processes, both automated and manual.
* Prepare business cases and recommendations, assessing options and potential benefits to align with divisional goals.
* Coordinate and contribute to the Division’s financial planning, including forecasts and monthly reports, ensuring accurate financial tracking.
* Draft clear and effective communications, including reports, summaries, and presentations for senior management and various stakeholders.
* Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records in compliance with University policies and legislative standards.

Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills are essential, along with proficiency in business and process analysis tools. You’ll enjoy tackling new challenges, coordinating across departments, and contributing to initiatives with impact across the University.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 7 $121,056 to $130,572 p.a. (comprising Salary of $102,294 to $110,335 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
