With a portfolio of over 80 stores, our highly trained specialists are dedicated to making our client’s piercing dreams a reality, and their experience unforgettable.As we experience unparalleled growth and continue to evolve, we’re looking for an experienced IT Manager based in our Head Quarters in Maroochydore, to help us manage and optimise our technology systems to support our team and business operations.The role:As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our retail IT systems, infrastructure, and technology support across all SkinKandy locations and HQ.You’ll work closely with our leadership teams to align our technology strategy with business needs, improving operational efficiency, optimising systems, and supporting our retail teams daily whilst supporting the growth of the business. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone passionate about technology especially in the retail environment.Please note this role is office based.Key Responsibilities:Retail IT Systems Management: Oversee the management and optimisation of all retail and corporate IT systems, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management, and customer service technology across all SkinKandy locations.System Integration & Support: Support seamless integration between retail systems and back-office operations, such as accounting, inventory, and HR systems. Provide support and troubleshooting for in-store tech issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.Security & Data Protection: Implement cybersecurity measures to protect company and customer data. Ensure compliance with Australia and New Zealand's privacy and data protection laws, and safeguard the security of POS and payment systems.Policy Development: Development and maintenance of all IT related policies, process documentation and controls.Team Support: Lead, manage and grow the IT function (people and processes) to support our rapid growth across multiple markets. Provide training, guidance, and hands-on support to retail and HQ teams for all technology-related needs.Technology Strategy & Innovation: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement a technology strategy that supports SkinKandy’s retail operations, including optimising the customer experience through technology, data analytics, and new innovations.Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party IT vendors and service providers, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality service for retail systems and hardware.Hardware & Software Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and management of all retail hardware (e.g., POS systems, tablets, printers) and software applications, ensuring regular updates, troubleshooting, and swift resolution of technical issues.Performance Reporting & Analytics: Use data and analytics to monitor and improve IT system performance, providing reports to senior leadership on key metrics.Device Setup: Take end-to-end ownership for all IT access and equipment related setup (people, stores, divisions etc.) and ensure the timely delivery of all critical items.What We’re Looking For:Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar IT leadership role.An exceptionally strong work-ethic and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, critical delivery deadlines and a constant environment of change and growth.Extensive experience in the Microsoft environment with a solid understanding of Microsoft InTune the management of centralised end-point security.Hands on, can-do attitude, with some weekend requirements needed to support our retail teams and manage off-shore shift based IT resources.A real desire to grow a developing IT function into a Global IT function within the next 12-24 months.Strong knowledge of retail IT systems such as POS systems, inventory management systems, and customer relationship management (CRM) software.Experience with managing retail hardware (POS, printers, mobile devices) and software solutions.Experience with managing cloud-based technologies and integrations, including eCommerce platforms, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and mobile technologies.Familiarity with ANZ data privacy laws and best practices for managing customer and company data securely.Ability to support all SkinKandy team members, providing training where needed.Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the business.Experience in leading and working with offshore support teams.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage urgent tech issues and implement long-term solutions.Demonstrated resilience and ability to manage within a fast paced, evolving environment.Why Join SkinKandy?At SkinKandy we are determined to set our people up for success and watch our people grow with us as we extend our stores across the nation and globally!This role is a rare opportunity in the Sunshine Coast; to play a key role in one of Australia’s fastest growing retailers and build an IT function that can facilitate rapid international expansion.#freetobeAt SkinKandy we are committed to creating a working environment and culture that fosters and promotes diversity and inclusion.
