About the Business Unit:
Hopkins Correctional Centre is a medium security prison located in Western Victoria housing up to 798 people. The prison takes a multi-disciplinary approach that promotes active participation in activities structured to assist with rehabilitation and reintegration back to community at end of sentence.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Finance & Stores Team Leaders, the Justice Officer – Finance & Stores will process a range of financial, accounts payable and purchasing transactions ensuring compliance with requirements and timelines.
Some of your duties will include:
* Working productively and respectfully as part of a dedicated and supportive team within a rotational roster framework featuring task responsibilities in accordance with the position responsibilities
* Providing high quality business services related to finance & stores for the prison
* Processing a range of financial and administrative transactions ensuring compliance, including data entry, cash handling, preparation of journals, reconciliations and reporting, and accommodation bookings as directed.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
* Experience in a range of finance & stores related tasks including purchasing, accounts payable, petty cash and stock control is highly regarded
* Demonstrated understanding of finance, stores and warehousing operations
* Demonstrated understanding of occupational health and safety practices.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Desirable – Finance and/or warehousing certificates/qualifications.
