About the role The Student and Academic Services Officer is responsible for providing high quality administrative and services support within the College/Campus across a broad range of academic and student services and administrative functions.
The position acknowledges the interdependence of student and academic related matters, the importance of front counter student facing activities and back-office administration.
The designation of activities will be subject to individual College/Campus requirements and may change over time.
This role will have a key focus on casual teaching staff payroll support, and time timetable management.
This role is 4 days a week and based at the Gold Coast campus.
General Administrative and support Maintain accuracy of student records and cleanse data for regulatory reporting Provide high quality support for the College reception including responding to telephone, email and face to face student enquiries.
Assist with facilities management (as appropriate) Understanding and knowledge of timetabling and exam invigilation Participate in team meetings and team development activities Coordinate student enrolment and associated activities Coordinate student progression, completion and transition processing Manage administration and reporting of student and graduate satisfaction surveys and course and teaching evaluations as requested Process results, changes to grades, exclusions, probation, awards, and merit scholarship Process student and academic form requests for enrolment variations, deferral, withdrawal, change of campus, Academic Integrity Breaches in accordance with Griffith College policies and procedures Process students' variations to enrolment and maintain accuracy of Confirmation of Enrolments (CoEs) Staff/Student support Process student requests for replacement documentation Coordinate moderation and benchmarking processes across nominated programs with internal and external stakeholders Coordinate and process credit applications in accordance with College/Campus and University Agreement (where relevant) Provide administrative support to various academic and student committees Assist with College/Campus Orientation, Graduation and student experience activities Provide advice to students relating to College/Campus policies and procedures, program progression, transition to University and other student administrative related issues Undertake student monitoring and retention activities Other duties as required Qualifications and Selection Criteria Essential: High level organisational and time management skills Proven ability to prioritise tasks to meet competing deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills High level computing skills, particularly Microsoft Office and experience in student information systems and/or customer relationship management systems Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly both in a team and independently, and in an environment with changing demands Desirable: Degree or equivalent work experience Work experience in higher education sector, preferably in as part of a busy student administration or student support environment Knowledge of government policies affecting international students such as the National Code and Higher Education Standards Act What we can offer you A fun and supportive team environment First class modern facilities Career progression and development pathways Collegial and collaborative environment with the aim of academic excellence About Us Navitas is a leading global education provider that has helped generations of learners transform their lives through education.
