Production Engineer - Mechanical

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition from design to production
2. Provide essential manufacturing documentation and information to meet quality standards
3. Identify and implement best-practice manufacturing methods for production efficiency
4. Work with suppliers and purchasing teams to coordinate outsourced activities, including supplier audits and performance reviews
5. Regularly review and optimize manufacturing processes as part of the company's continuous improvement strategy
6. Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation within the document control system
7. Ensure manufacturing database information is up to date and properly maintained
Required Knowledge & Experience:
1. Experience in assembling and testing mechanical products and assemblies
2. Proficiency in creating and updating assembly and test procedures, along with relevant records
3. Ability to interpret and create engineering drawings and bills of materials
4. Understanding of process hold points, operational control activities, and factory acceptance tests (FATs)
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
1. Qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
3. Experience with Autodesk Inventor and Vault (or similar CAD software)
4. Knowledge of MS Visio and Adobe FrameMaker is beneficial
5. Strong communication and problem-solving skills
