Preference will be given to engineers with 5+ years of proven experience in power system analysis and design. You will be responsible for conceptual and detailed design, power system modelling and studies, earthing and lightning protection, through to commissioning support for LV and HV systems.If you’re an experienced Project Engineer looking to take the next step to Senior, we’re interested in you too.Candidate ProfileYou will be degree or advanced diploma qualified in Electrical Engineering having extensive work experience in industrial power systems, mining, renewables or can demonstrate transferable skills from another industry.You must have an Australian driver's license.You must have full Australian work rights.Desirable Experience and SkillsSKM PTW or ETAP experience.Strong working knowledge of AS3000, AS3008, AS2067 and AS1768.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey electrical engineering outcomes with clients, stakeholders and other disciplines as required.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Experience across a variety of Heavy Industries.The ability to complete detailed electrical design work (schematics, SLD’s, termination diagrams, specifications, scopes of work).Knowledge of power systems and LV/MV design such as MCC’s, Switchrooms, HV & LV Switchgear.Earthing and lightning system modelling.Overhead line modelling is also advantageous.Knowledge of instrumentation, PLC control systems, networks and communications systems.Understanding of relevant Australian, IEC and industry codes and standards.Functional safety and hazardous area experience and/or exposure in mining environments is advantageous.Demonstrated ability and genuine enthusiasm to motivate and mentor junior staff.Chartered status or eligibility to become registered with an accredited industry body such as Engineers Australia and RPEQ.What makes us uniqueCell Engineering strives to maintain its impressive history of customer satisfaction whilst continuing to expand our client base of high-profile clients and local industries.
