About the role
The purpose of this role is:
1. Manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals, including cyclotron operation and radiopharmaceutical synthesis, in compliance with the current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) principles.
2. Quality Control (QC) of radiopharmaceuticals, in compliance with cGMP.
3. Support the laboratory operating in compliance with cGMP, e.g., stock control and ordering, preparation of standards and reagents, calibration of equipment and environmental monitoring duties.
About you
This successful applicant will carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Clinical practice
4. Operation of the PETtrace cyclotron to manufacture radioisotopes.
5. Perform aseptic manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals in a clean room environment.
Team participation/ communication
6. Assist with laboratory tasks such as equipment calibration, preparation of reagents, environmental monitoring, stock control and document review.
7. Contribute to the development of technical practice standards and service procedures and contribute to the wider development of technical competence via input into internal quality improvement.
Leadership/ work unit management
8. Participate in the processes required by Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), including continuous quality improvement.
