In this role, you will play a crucial part in accurately estimating costs and contributing to successful office fit-out projects.

Responsibilities: Review project documentation, including architectural plans, specifications, and scope of work, to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for office fit-out projects.Collaborate with the project team to determine project requirements, including materials, labor, and subcontractor services.Conduct comprehensive quantity take-offs and cost analysis for various aspects of the project, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and interior finishes.Source and solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, evaluating their proposals and negotiating pricing to ensure competitive bids.Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, budgets, and tender submissions.Collaborate with the project management team to assess and mitigate potential risks and opportunities during the estimating process.Maintain and update a comprehensive database of historical cost data, industry benchmarks, and market trends to improve estimating accuracy.Participate in pre-construction meetings and provide valuable input on constructability and value engineering options.Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to clarify project requirements and resolve any pricing discrepancies or queries.Collaborate with the procurement team to review and negotiate contracts and purchase orders with subcontractors and suppliers.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Relevant certifications are a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator, preferably in the office fit-out or commercial construction industry.Strong understanding of office fit-out construction methods, materials, and industry pricing.Proficiency in estimating software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to perform accurate quantity take-offs and cost calculations.Strong knowledge of subcontractor and supplier markets, with the ability to obtain competitive bids.Solid understanding of construction contracts, specifications, and building codes.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Knowledge of local construction regulations and practices in Melbourne is preferred.For more information, please 'APPLY' or email, ******
