Scope of Work
: • Contributes to the morale and team spirit of the resort by maintaining effective relationships with all hosts.
• Assists in administering the performance management systems.
• Meet and greet new hosts and complete island induction procedures.
• Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
• Handle all administrative requirements of the FNU Training Grants Scheme, including preparation and submission of Annual Training Plan and Training Execution, and liaises with departmental trainers re: submission of training documentation in a timely manner.
• Serve as a link between management and hosts by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
• Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of hosts relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and host relations.
• Manage and maintain the Training Needs Analysis and register of completed training.
• Facilitate corporate training programs and book specialist trainers as required.
• Plan, develop and organize training sessions and produce appropriate training materials for in-house courses.
• Regularly check host village and restaurant for cleanliness and presentation.
• Organise and lead employee relations initiatives and actively participate in resort sustainability initiatives.
• Assist in all HR functions as directed by the Director of Human Resources.
• At all times proactively and compassionately handle staff needs, ensuring serious matters are escalated to the attention of the HR Director. Qualification : • Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management or Human Resources / Industrial Relations
• Registered Training Officer under FNU Training Grants Scheme
• Previous experience at minimum HR or Training Officer level, preferably also experienced at counselling and disciplinary procedures
• Strong administrative skills – intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Effective English communication skills, both oral and written
• International resort or hotel experience will be an advantage, along with island resort operations
• Must be a citizen of Fiji or have current immigration status to work in Fiji
