A broad ranging senior clinical management role, it encompasses strategy, operations, medical workforce development and training and research.
You will work closely with executive managers, clinical leaders and clinicians to help develop and deliver the best regional models of care.

(£260,000) includes: Superannuation 10.5% Attractive benefits including study and conference leave Sponsorship and costs provided Travel Allowance Accommodation Allowance (or temporary accomm can be provided) Management Allowance Position Purpose The Clinical Director Medical Services is focussed on the clinical leadership of the Medical and Continuing Care Service division of Grampians Health.
The role encompasses leadership, clinical and strategic oversight and guidance on the operation of these services throughout Grampians Health.
The role is responsible for coordinating medical staff, ensuring the provision of quality care and managing the clinical and financial performance of the medical and continuing care programs.
The Clinical Director in collaboration with the Program Director will be responsible for all medical and continuing care services, ensuring the division meets the needs of the community and service agreements are met.
The Medical and Continuing Care Services division covers a broad area of medicine including: Sub-Acute services General and Specialty Medicine Oncology Haematology Emergency Medicine Intensive Care Medicine A detailed Position Description available upon request.

Key Accountabilities The key accountabilities of this role include: Providing leadership and coordination of the division to improve care by being a role model, reviewing and developing care processes, monitoring emerging issues and leading change.
Driving improvements to patient care systems, processes and outcomes for patients.
Play a leading role in the coordination of services across the region.
Promoting service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality and safe service delivery, and workplace.
Undertaking clinical oversight responsibilities including on-call provision, patient care delivery, liaison with other divisions and referring hospitals, and maintaining appropriate records and confidentiality.
Playing a leading role in clinical governance and participate in relevant meetings and committees.
Qualifications and Qualities Medical qualification and current specialist registration with AHPRA.
Post-graduate qualifications in a medical, health or management-related field is desirable.
You should have the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and help create positive working relationships that lead to improved services and health care outcomes across Grampians Health.
