A fast track opportunity exists for a driven, enthusiastic Site Manager (carpentry) background with a little project Management experience from Tier 1,2,3 head contractor who is keen to succeed with an award-winning builder in regional locations to help deliver Social Housing Programmes.This builder enjoys working on small to large scale projects in our NSW regional areas, including Orange, Wagga, Wollongong, Central Coast, Newcastle and surrounds.Projects range from $300k to $20 million, and just before the Australia Day long weekend, they were awarded a string of social housing projects up to $5 million in regional Orange, Bathurst and Griffith, to help NSW with our current and ongoing rental crisis. Other projects include commercial retail, hospitality, recreational and local amenity upgrades composed of mixed New Build and Fit out aspects.They pride themselves on their 5-day week, relaxed atmosphere, finer finish, and harmonious/humorous work culture in 2024. They are trying to change how typical builders work and offer a more autonomous and flexible work structure.The Role:Recently awarded a Social Housing project in Orange, you will have exposure to similar projects and be responsible for helping the daily operations of a busy site. In particular, pushing the trades, interpreting plans, supervising partitioning walls, panelling, and general supervision.Duties:Supervision and coordination of trades, site personnel, and subcontractors.Documenting site activity.Compliance and monitoring of WHS.Ensuring carpentry works are being carried out in accordance with plans.Working closely with the Foreman to review the status of the project.Requirements:Setting out experience.Experience complying with WHS.High communication skills and attention to detail.Be hungry to fast track up the ranks in a bustling environment.Full driver's licence.Criteria:You will be trade or tertiary qualified in Carpentry/Joinery or have a project management degree or related experience in Australia working for an Australian recognised builder.You will be highly motivated and ambitious with drive and passion in a leadership capacity.6 years experience working on Commercial/New Build and Fit out projects.Confident and looking to exceed in all facets of your work, delivering on time and on budget.Exceptional communication skills.A 'can do' positive attitude and confidence.Good management approach.Enthusiastic and keen for the opportunity.The Benefits:This is a unique opportunity to make your impact with a leading builder in the NSW (Sydney/Regional and Coastal) markets.
