About the role:
The Recruitment Assistant plays a vital, customer-facing role in our Recruitment team. You will be the first point of contact for new and potential employees, ensuring a seamless and positive experience throughout the recruitment process. Your responsibilities will include managing the recruitment journey, from initial enquiries to onboarding, as well as supporting our farm teams by maintaining accurate records.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
* Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for all recruitment-related enquiries, whether in person, by telephone, or via email. Respond promptly and professionally to all queries from potential candidates and employees.
* Facilitate the Recruitment Process: Screen and process applications, ensuring timely communication with applicants regarding the status of their application and next steps.
* Onboarding Support: Assist successful candidates through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition into the business and addressing any questions they may have.
* Engage with Employees: Provide ongoing support to new employees, helping them navigate any concerns during their first weeks on the job.
* Database and Records Management: Maintain and update employee records, including visa details, work rights, crew transfers, and exits from the business. Ensure all data is accurate, secure, and up to date.
This is a dynamic and customer-focused role that supports a workforce of over 1,000 people during peak harvest periods. You'll be working closely with employees and candidates throughout the recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring their experience is smooth and professional.

* Have excellent attention to detail: You’ll need to handle sensitive employee data with care and precision.
* Be adaptable and reliable: Willing to work flexible hours on a rotating roster, including early starts and increased hours during the peak harvest season.
* Be a good team player: Work well with a diverse group of people and contribute positively to the team environment.
Essential skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn and use other recruitment platforms.
This position would suit someone with in depth knowledge of Northern Tasmania.
Preferred but not essential: Certificate III in Business Administration or similar qualification.
