The role requires four days a week, 8:00am to 12:30pm, Monday to Thursday, and will suit experienced and motivated applicants who are wishing to maintain work-life balance via part-time work, while remaining within the setting of a multinational group.Suitable applicants will need a minimum of 3 years' experience in similar roles and ideally have a degree in Accounting, with a strong emphasis on Financial Accounting, or another similar qualification.Day to Day:Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Processing day to day customer receipting and bank reconciliations.Attending to customer queries with a high degree of courtesy and professionalism.Processing customer credit account applications, including reference checking.Carrying out monthly debt collecting and issuing payment reminders.Maintaining of all customer accounts and records to a high standard.Carrying out supplier payment runs in conjunction with the Accounts Payable team.Assisting with any other required tasks.The essentialsThe successful candidate will possess the following additional skills and abilities:Minimum of 3 years' experience in similar rolesA degree in Accounting is desirableGood interpersonal communication, organisational and time management skills.Great attention to detailBe highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.A strong understanding of accounting principles.Strong Excel competency is also essential.Pronto ERP experience is desirable.Ability to work to tight monthly deadlines.Good literacy, numeracy, and computer skills.Alignment to ALS core values and culture.Working at ALSOur people drive our success at ALS.
