The Opportunity: We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager with a solid background in concrete structures and precast concrete panels to lead a commercial project in Hobart.
This role is critical for ensuring the successful execution and delivery of complex construction tasks, adhering to strict timelines and budgets, while maintaining the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Execution: Oversee the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of concrete structure projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budget requirements.
Team Management: Lead and manage on-site teams, including concreters, formwork carpenters, and other subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Ensure clear communication and coordination among various trades.
Cost Control & Budgeting: Review, manage, and track project budgets, including estimation, material procurement, and labor allocation.
Work closely with the estimating team to ensure the project remains on budget, adjusting plans where necessary to maintain financial efficiency.
Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
Maintain a high standard of quality control in concrete works, including structure integrity, surface finishes, and panel installations.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, and other key stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Provide regular updates on project progress and address any challenges that may arise.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Implement proactive safety measures and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols.
What We're Looking For: Concrete Structure Expertise: Extensive experience managing large-scale concrete structure projects, including formwork, slabs, concrete walls, and precast panel installations.
Familiarity with commercial project environments is essential.
Proven Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring high performance and project efficiency.
You will be required to guide and mentor team members, maintaining a productive and positive work culture.
Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret detailed construction plans, specifications, and technical drawings.
Hands-on experience with construction tools, equipment, and materials related to concrete works.
Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive approach to identifying project challenges and delivering effective solutions on the go.
Strong decision-making abilities are key to keeping projects on track.
Budget & Time Management: Demonstrated experience in managing budgets and ensuring projects are completed within time constraints.
Familiarity with construction estimation software is a plus.
Compliance & Safety: A strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations.
White card certification and relevant industry licenses are required.
