Services and Commissioning Manager - Client Side
Location: Sydney
Salary: $160,000 + super + bonus
A client-side organisation in Sydney is looking for a Services and Commissioning Manager to join their team to work across data centre projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the commissioning efforts for multiple data centre projects, ensuring a smooth handover to operations and customers.
* Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and commissioning agents to meet all project requirements during the testing and handover process.
* Work closely with APAC development and design teams to uphold safety, quality standards, and global benchmarks.
* Oversee commissioning procedures to ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.
* Resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase and manage risks associated with project execution.
* Provide leadership and support to commissioning teams, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring adherence to client quality standards.
* Coordinate activities to ensure timely completion of projects, keeping stakeholders updated on commissioning status.
* Ensure the successful factory testing of MEP equipment and oversee the contractor defect management process.
* Review design and technical documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements.
* Manage the coordination of MOPS, O&M manuals, and ensure proper training for operations teams.
Requirements:
* At least 3-5 years of experience as a Building Services or Commissioning Manager in a general contractor or commissioning agent role, leading complex project handovers (preferably data centre projects).
* Experience working with MEP suppliers, contractors, and commissioning agents across the APAC region.
* This person will ideally come from a multi-disciplined background; mechanical ideally, electrical will also be considered.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and remain flexible under changing circumstances.
* Strong decision-making abilities and accountability.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver impactful presentations to customers, peers, and management.
* Proven leadership skills managing multi-disciplinary teams across multiple locations.
Open to project experience. Ideally, someone who has worked on Data Centre projects is preferred but not necessary. If you have worked on large-scale or technical/complex projects as a Services/Commissioning Manager, do not hesitate to reach out.
