Maintenance Manager
* Leadership role overseeing the maintenance of critical emergency response equipment
* Full-time permanent role based at any of our Mines Rescue Stations in NSW
* 5 wks annual leave 15 days personal leave Coal Industry Long Service Leave
We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee the lifecycle of assets across our business, including emergency response and training equipment, as well as specialised fixed plant. This role is essential to ensuring the compliance, reliability and performance of our critical assets.
About the role:
Reporting to the State Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing Mines Rescue assets, ensuring their reliability and regulatory compliance through effective risk management, change management, and workforce consultation.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and implementing maintenance strategies for critical emergency response assets including explosion protected electrical equipment
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice and standards
* Managing asset reliability and risk-based maintenance planning
* Procurement of emergency response assets including explosion protected electrical equipment
* Overseeing budget expenditure and resource allocation
* Conducting equipment audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistency in maintenance management across the business
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Extensive experience in asset management within Australian underground coal mines
* Engineering qualifications with expertise in the development of maintenance strategies and a strong focus on compliance
* Experience managing explosion-protected equipment for underground coal mines
* The ability to analyse data, identify trends, and drive improvement
* Strong leadership and change management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to build relationships and engage stakeholders
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively
* Proficiency in computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
