Cottermouth, a Scouts ACT property in Stromlo ACT, is embarking on an exciting period of growth and development. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Programs Manager to design, develop, and implement a range of activities tailored to our commercial clients. This is a new role focused on creating and delivering high-quality products to new markets as part of our strategic growth.

About the Role
As the Programs Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of a diverse range of outdoor programs. Your responsibilities will include:
* Designing, developing, and delivering engaging outdoor education and adventure programs for commercial clients.
* Coordinating and delivering onsite activities such as archery, high ropes, abseiling, canoeing, bushcraft, and teamwork challenges.
* Managing program logistics, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, and risk management.
* Leading, training, and mentoring staff to ensure high-quality program delivery.
* Ensuring all programs align with safety standards, risk management policies, and industry best practices.
* Overseeing the procurement, maintenance, and inventory of equipment.
* Collaborating with stakeholders to create tailored experiences that meet client needs and objectives.
* Supporting the overall growth and development of Camp Cottermouth’s outdoor education offerings.
About You
We are seeking a motivated outdoor education professional with a passion for adventure-based learning and program development. You should have:
* Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering outdoor education programs.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and mentor a team.
* A deep understanding of experiential learning and adventure-based activities.
* Proven ability to manage logistics, risk assessments, and safety in outdoor environments.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and program development.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
* Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card (or willingness to obtain).
* Cert IV in Outdoor Leadership or Relevant qualifications in Education or Recreation and/or relevant industry knowledge and experience
* Understanding of the Australian Schools Curriculum and the ability to align program activities with schools' desired curriculum outcomes.
* Competency, or the ability to attain, and experience in leading the following activities – bushwalking, navigation, mountain biking, canoeing/Kayaking (flat water), abseiling (natural and artificial surfaces) and caving.
* Provide First Aid qualification
