We are currently seeking an experienced Chef Manager to join the team at Regis Legana. Set in a tranquil, rural setting, Regis Legana is just a 5-minute drive to the Tamar Island Wetlands, and 20-minutes from Beaconsfield Mine along the picturesque Tamar Valley. We’re beautifully situated and our Home has an authentic country feel to it, alongside magnificent views of the snow-peaked mountain ranges.
Shifts-
Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 17:30
This role is % hands on in all aspects of running the kitchen. As the Chef Manager, you will have the responsibility of overseeing traditional compliance activities including food safety, OHS, and quality.
As well as leading a team in delivering high quality food to our residents, this role will also encompass:
1. Full oversight of kitchen compliance including food safety, WHS and quality
2. Leading and motivating the kitchen team
3. Stock control and ordering
4. Resident dietary management
5. Kitchen and food cost management
6. Production and delivery of high quality meals
7. Service excellence around all aspects of the dining experience
8. Strong front of house presence including communication with residents and families
9. Provide management and guidance to the kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth operation
You will be a qualified chef or a very experienced cook with experience in a commercial catering, aged care or function environment.
The experience required to deliver the highest standards of quality, should be combined with;
10. Staff management experience
11. Chef Qualifications and experience and understanding of special dietary needs
12. Experience within Aged Care would be advantageous
13. Experience working within set budgets
14. Time management and interpersonal skills
15. Willingness to work as part of a broader catering team to continually improve the catering experience in our facilities
16. Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery and/or Certificate in Food Handling (Food Safety and Hygiene) are preferred.
