The role of the Warehouse Storeperson (Supply) mustering is to provide governance, inventory management, procurement, storage and physical distribution of materiel, and sustained logistics system support for the Air Force and broader Defence organisation, within the ADF logistics support systems.
Duties include:
1. Management of the supply computer database and statutory accounts
2. Processing of base demands for general stores and aircraft spares through supply from Service sources or purchase from civilian suppliers
3. Purchasing including electronic purchasing, raising of purchase orders, processing of claims, and maintenance of funds control ledgers
4. Operating forklifts in the loading and unloading of stores
5. Physical receipt, storage, issue, packaging, despatch and transportation of materiel and
6. Use of Air Force computerised stores record systems involving:
7. Receipt, issue, and ordering of equipment
8. Inventory control
9. Data validation and correction
10. Stocktaking
11. Equipment liaison - acting as the supply interface between the operational element and logistics support units and
12. Supply administration including correspondence and voucher processing
As a Supply member you will be generally employed within an office environment in, but not limited to, equipment management sections, warehouses, central procurement areas, systems program offices, flying squadrons; or an expeditionary combat support squadron.
