At STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe.What Difference Will You Make STERIS Applied Sterilization Technologies (AST) announced several expansion projects throughout our global sterilization and laboratory network.Australia is now amongst the countries involved in the expansion.We are looking for qualified technicians and engineers to join our AST team in Australia.As our business grows, we are looking to strengthen our service organization by hiring a Field Service Technician to perform major project installations, upgrades to existing equipment, and assist in preventative and corrective maintenance either on-site or remotely.The role is a key contributor to STERIS's safety culture and ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and the global code of conduct.If you are customer-focused and want to work to build a world-class service organization, equipped with experience in medical equipment maintenance and are willing to travel for job purposes – read on!What You Will Do Assemble and install complex equipment, participate in major projects as an experienced resource, and perform service and installation-related tasks.Use engineering drawings and documentation to identify problems, address customer issues, and execute solutions.Perform routine preventative maintenance visits and deploy upgrades, either independently or with little oversight.Perform and oversee machine conditioning at customer sites; support conditioning efforts at customer sites remotely (e.g., using digital scopes to assess problems, running dosimetry tests).Utilize collaborative service, data collection, technology, and systems tools to perform service duties (e.g., gather diagnostic information, perform initial analyses, use technology to diagnose errors or technical problems, and work with customers to implement solutions remotely).Develop and share customer site data in support of reliability and technical advances.Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements in local jurisdictions where work is performed.Perform duties in accordance with target metrics and KPIs as defined by senior leadership.Respond to customer support calls and resolve complex issues in accordance with STERIS customer service and quality metrics.Build and foster relationships with customers, communicate feedback to leadership, and ensure quality execution of all value-added services.What You Will Need Associate's degree in a related field.4-6 years of experience in one of the following areas or a combination of these fields will be considered: Electromechanical Mechanical Millwright Robotics and automation PLC/software development Control systems Your Expertise Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, components, tests, tools, and principles.Basic level knowledge of sterilization system layout and components.Focus on conveyors or product delivery systems would be a great asset.Skills in repairing, testing, and maintaining technical equipment using various electro-mechanical tools.Prior experience in a leadership role.Prior experience in a project management role with a focus on electrical, mechanical, or highly technical projects.Salary Package $70k-80k plus superannuation.STERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention.STERIS is a $5 billion, publicly traded (NYSE: STE) company with approximately 17,000 associates and customers in more than 100 countries.STERIS strives to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
