The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.Take a chance, progress your career and discover all that the Wide Bay has to offer.Your opportunity:The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) works as a part of a multidisciplinary team, providing support and education to individuals and carers from the time of diagnosis of prostate cancer throughout their treatment journey.The Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse incorporates advanced knowledge and skills in supportive care, including providing specialised and tailored information and education, psychological support, and clinical care.The Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse is responsible for the facilitation and provision of quality and cost-effective nursing and/or midwifery services which are consistent with contemporary standards, guidelines, relevant legislation, and best practice.This position reports professionally and operationally to the Nurse Unit Manager Cancer Care Service where they are based.Temporary Full Time (76 hours p.f.) from the date of appointment until 30th June 2027.We encourage applications from First Nations nurses and midwives in line with Health Equity, Growing Deadly Families, and Hospital and Health Plan Strategies.Find out more in the Role Description.Our offer:You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $164,212 p.a., comprising salary between $132,562 - $143,924 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 7) (Temporary Full Time, 76 hours p.f., from the date of appointment until 30th June 2027).
